"Bridging the Gap between the Cultural Heritage and Architecture" - is about connecting the heritage of the precinct and focusing on methods to achieve the intangible connection as a design center, by capturing the essence of the heritage district in the newer design which poses a major challenge. This is something to look into, to cater to the importance of the place and conserve the natural landscape and marine life of the region. The FOCUS is mainly on understanding the culture and heritage of Ballard Estate, Mumbai, and on how the lost intangible value can be conserved while also respecting the tangible aspects. The FUNDAMENTAL is to identify/Define the method to connect the newer architecture to the historic precinct, by - (IDENTIFYING THE KEY ELEMENT OF CONNECTION BETWEEN THE EXISTING HISTORIC ELEMENTS TO CONTEMPORARY, MODERN DESIGN PRINCIPLES) As far as the design is concerned it is an 'International Cruise Terminal."
